A total of 9 audite productions was nominated for the International Classical Music Awards 2022. Among them two new productions with la festa musicale, Dorothee Mields and the Boreas Quartett BremenJulia Fritz and ensemble, the Thüringer Bach Collegium, Swiss Piano Trio and Mandelring Quartett. Likewise, Marc Coppey with the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra (NOSPR) under the baton of Lawrence Foster and in the category of historical releases a production from the LUCERNE FESTIVAL series (Karl Böhm / Vienna Philharmonic) were nominated.

We are very happy about these nominations!

​​Our July release Notari & Fontana - Early baroque music from the Basilica Palatina Mantova with Julia Fritz and her ensemble was awarded in the current November issue of FONO FORUM with a STERN DES MONATS. Reviewer Matthias Hengelbrock writes: "Fritz does not display virtuosity, but tells stories without words. [...] Recording-wise, too, this production is a delight."

157 jurors from 32 specialist juries have chosen 260 productions (CDs, DVDs and audiobooks) from new releases of the last quarter and nominated them for the Quarterly Critics' Choice ("Bestenliste") 4/2021 of the German Record Critics' Award (PdSK), which will be issued on November 15th.

Among these are also three current audite productions: "Basevi Codex" with Dorothee Mields and the Boreas Quartett Bremen as well as "Notari & Fontana" with Julia Fritz were nominated in the category "Early Music", and the latest release of our LUCERNE FESTIVAL series HISTORIC PERFORMANCES "Karl Böhm conducts Hindemith & Bruckner" was nominated in the category "Historical releases".

We are very happy about this appreciation!

​August marks the anniversaries of no less than three important artists:
Soprano Agnes Giebel was born on August 10th 1921, we congratulate on her 100th birthday! In addition, two great conductors passed away 25 years ago: August 11th 1996 is the 25th anniversary of the death of Rafael Kubelík, he died in Lucerne at the age of 82; on August 14th 1996, also 25 years ago, Sergiu Celibidache died near Paris at the age of 84.

Music lovers owe thanks to all three artists for fantastic recordings, a whole series is available at audite:

156 jurors from 32 specialist juries have chosen 277 productions (CDs, DVDs and audio books) from new releases of the last quarter and nominated them for the Quarterly Critics' Choice ("Bestenliste") 3/2021 of the German Record Critics' Award (PdSK), which will be issued on August 16th.

Among these is also an audite production: Ravel & La Tombelle: String Quartets with the Mandelring Quartett was nominated in the category "Chamber Music I".

Jun 29, 2021 | Sabine Wiedemann | News ICMA Award Ceremony & Gala Concert: Franziska Pietsch & SOL

​On June 27, this year's ICMAs were awarded in Vaduz and numerous prize winners were presented in a top-class gala concert with the Lichtenstein Symphony Orchestra (SOL) under Yaron Traub. Also audite was again honored with an International Classical Music Award (ICMA): The jury's choice in the category "Chamber Music" was the production Fantasque with Franziska Pietsch (violin) and Josu De Solaun (piano). As Josu De Solaun was unfortunately unable to attend the event, Franziska Pietsch performed as soloist with the orchestra. She shone in Ravel's "Tzigane" and once again proved her outstanding musical and technical abilities.

In May, three audite artists and composers celebrate their anniversaries: May 18th is the 110th anniversary of Gustav Mahler's death, as well as the 50th birthday of Swedish soprano Camilla Tilling; and May 20th is the 125th anniversary of Clara Schumann's death. Enough reason to point out the audite productions of the jubilees:

* Gustav Mahler, e.g. the legendary live recordings with Rafael Kubelik and the Symphonie-Orchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks;

* Camilla Tilling in Grieg's 6 Orchestral Songs (WDR Sinfonieorchester / Eivind Aadland), available as Vol. V of "Grieg - Complete Syphonic Works" or as part of the 5-SACD boxed set.
* Clara Schumann with her Piano Trio in G minor. (Swiss Piano Trio).

153 jurors from 32 specialist juries have chosen 272 productions (CDs, DVDs and audio books) from new releases of the last quarter and nominated them for the Quarterly Critics' Choice ("Bestenliste") 2/2021 of the German Record Critics' Award (PdSK), which will be issued on May 14th.

Among these are also two audite productions: Francesco Venturini: Concerti with la festa musicale was nominated in the categories "Early Music" and „Concerts" - Jean-Baptiste Dupont plays Widor: Symphony No. 8 in the category „Keyboard Instruments II".

Our current April release Ravel & La Tombelle: String Quartets with the Mandelring Quartett has been awarded a SUPERSONIC by the Luxembourg trade magazine Pizzicato.

Reviewer Remy Franck writes: "The Mandelring now adds another outstanding recording. [...] On the one hand, the interpretation is marked by fervor, ardor, and tense; [...] on the other hand, transparency, sophistication, and sensuality are not lacking."
