Oct 13, 2017 | Sabine Wiedemann News Franziska Pietsch: Successful Album Release Concert
Two new CDs were introduced in one go by Franziska Pietsch, her Trio Lirico and pianist Detlev Eisinger on October 13th in Berlin: Prokofiev's Violin Concertos (DSO Berlin, Cristian Macelaru) and the String Trios and the Piano Quartett in A minor by Max Reger. The program of the Album Release Concert in the Maison de France included excerpts from the chamber music producion and - as a "representative" for Prokofievs Violin Concertos - his Violin Sonata No. 2.
In the animated discussion with presenter Michael Struck-Schloen (WDR, rbb), the musicians talked about their approach to the music of Max Reger, the potential of the format string trio, and the early beginnings of their ensemble. Franziska Pietsch also granted insight into her biography and shared details of her carrier as a shooting star in the GDR, the influence of the reprisals by the regime after her father's escape to the West and her special relationship with the music of Prokofiev.
The audience of ca. 70 people followed the brilliant music performances and interviews with unabated interest up to the very end, and rewarded the artists and the presenter with long-lasting applause.
