Anne Cathérine Heinzmann has been a guest in various concerts and international festivals during the last years and counts in the meantime among the most renown german flutists of her generation. As a soloist, chamber- and an orchestra musician she appears regularly in Germany and throughout Europe. Grewing up in Hamburg she comes from a traditional musician family and began already as a child with the musical education. She studied with Professor Jean-Claude Gérard (Stuttgart), Professor Jeanne Baxtresser (New York) and with Professor Michael-Martin Kofler (Salzburg). In addition she received important influences from Aurèle Nicolet and Paul Meisen. She is a prizewinner of many national and international competitions and was supported by the „Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes“, the chamber music foundation „Villa Musica “, the „ Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben“ and was promoted by the important foundation „Deutscher Musikrat“. The flutist shows an active concert activity, which led her to the Laeiszhalle Hamburg, the Semperoper in Dresden, to the Rudolphinum in Prague, to the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival and to the BBC PROMs concerts in London, to the Alte Oper Frankfurt, to the Ludwigsburger Schloßfestspiele, the Heidelberger Frühling, the Biennale Munich and to MusicaMallorca. To her chamber music partners count soloists of international orchestras and ensembles, in addition she played with Leonard Hokanson, Miriam Fried, Paul and Gustav Rivinius, Aurèle Nicolet, Erik Schumann, Caroline Widmann and the Mandelring Quartett. Anne-Cathérine Heinzmann is since 1999 Assistant Principal Flute at the Fankfurt Opera- and MuseumsOrchestra. Apart from her orchestra activity she dedicates herself substantially to the chamber music and the importance of the contemporary music. With her ensemble the Trio Charolca she shows en engaged concert activity and also with her pianist Thomas Hoppe (AtosTrio). A CD recording of works by Harald Genzmer played by the Trio Charolca was published in 2012 (Thorofon), followed by her Debut recording with works for flute and piano with her duo partner Thomas Hoppe (Audite 2013), which was right away nominated for the International Classical Music Award 2014 (ICMA). An album with Bach Arias (Daniel Behle, Tenor) and the Partita for Soloflute was released at Sony Classical and attracted great attention. In November 2015 a new release at Audite with works from jewish composers, who had been ostracized in the era oft the National Socialism, will be published. Due to her passion for teaching she became in the meantime a well known teacher at numerous master classes. Her teaching concept is influenced by the work and co-operation with Professor Jeanne Baxtresser, in whose international master classes in the Music Academy Hammelburg she did participate as her assistant for a long time. Since 2008 Anne Cathérine Heinzmann is the leader of an annual master class for flute in co-operation with the International Music Academy Schloß Rheinsberg. In October 2009 she was appointed Professor for Flute at the University of Music Nuremberg. Anne-Cathérine Heinzmann plays a Muramatsu all 18K flute. She lives with her family and her two kids in Munich.

Thomas Hoppe is widely recognized as one of the finest piano partners of his generation. He has performed with artists such as Itzhak Perlman, Antje Weithaas, Tabea Zimmermann, Alban Gerhardt, Jens Peter Maintz and Frans Helmerson, to name but a few. Born in 1971, the German pianist went to the USA as a student of Lee Luvisi and later completed his studies at the JuilliardSchool in New York City, where he was a long-time studio pianist for Dorothy DeLay and Itzhak Perlman. As pianist of the ATOS Trio he performs worldwide and has won many prizes and awards since the group´s inception in 2003. Recently, a complete recording of Ludwig van Beethoven's piano trios was released as a live recording from Wigmore Hall. Hoppe also regularly tours internationally and records with the ensemble 4.1 piano windtet. For what has been almost two decades, Hoppe continues his association as piano partner for international competitions, such as the Concours Reine Elisabeth in Brussels, the Joseph Joachim Violin Competition in Hannover, the Indianapolis Violin Competition or the Singapore Violin Competition. The pianist teaches master classes in piano accompaniment and chamber music throughout Europe, Australia, China, South America and the USA, most recently as a lecturer at the Zhuhai Violin Festival 2020 in China or as a jury member at the Trondheim Chambermusic Competition TICC 2019. Appearances with string quartets complete his concert schedule - with the Shanghai Quartet, the Modigliani Quartet, the Mandelring Quartet or the Simply Quartet. Since April 2018 he is professor of piano chambermusic at the Folkwang University in Essen. He also works at the Hochschule fur Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin, and, with the Atos Trio, teaches chambermusic at the Accademia Perosi in Biella, Italy. Thomas Hoppe lives with his family and a small dog in Berlin.
