Accompaning the release of Mendelssohn: Complete Chamber Music for Strings Vol. III from the Mandelring Quartett series we present a short video. It gives impressions of the recording session for the Mendelssohn octet with the Quartetto di Cremona.
After the first volume of the edition E. Grieg: Complete Symphonic Works had already been decorated by the british trade magazine Gramophone, now the third volume of this series also got a "Gramophone Choice" which is given to the best classical releases in the month.
The new audite series The RIAS Amadeus Quartet Recordings, whose first volume documents nearly the complete cycle of Beethoven's string quartets recorded between 1950 and 1967, is now added by an radio interview from the eighties. The musicians of the Amadeus Quartet talk about their foundation and nature of the genre string quartet.

From May 25th to June 1st 2014 the 10th International String Quartet Competition Premio Paolo Borciani will be held in the Teatro Valli/Reggio Emilia in Italy, this time with an audite artist in the jury: Simone Gramaglia from the Quartetto di Cremona was invited to the jury and together with Martha Argerich, Fred Sherry, Kikuei Ikeda, Geraldine Walther, Heime Müller and Enrico Bronzi he will choose the three best international string quartets.
