Since 2015 the internationally renowned violinist Sebastian Hamann, soloist, chamber musician and Professor of Violin and Chamber Music at the music conservatories in Lucerne and Freiburg (successor to Prof. Rainer Kussmaul), is the newest member of the Trio. Through his enormous stage presence and highly expressive and colorfully diverse style, he is an immense addition to the inexhaustible musical creativity of this already highly respected ensemble. An active international career and excellently reviewed CD recordings testify to the highest quality of the ensemble. Ever since their release of the complete piano trios of Johannes Brahms on SACD (Audite), which caused a sensation around the world, the TRIO TESTORE has become a household name in the music world and is highly praised as an extraordinary ensemble for the intensity and originality of its interpretations by the media and audiences alike. After the Trio's debut release in 2011 of works by Brahms and Shostakovich on the Audite label came the release of the aforementioned complete cycle of Brahms piano trios in 2013, which received praises of the highest order from the international press. In 2014 they released their next SACD of works by Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff, which once again generated a highly positive response in the international press (Gramophone, Pizzicato, Fanfare, etc.) and was nominated for the "International Classical Music Award 2015."

Ensemble piano duo Piano Duo Mona & Rica Bard

Four hands, two sisters, one pulse
Mona & Rica Bard already sat down at t he grand piano together in their childhood home, and have been playing both piano four hands and at two pianos ever since. Following completion of their soloist diplomas at the music academies in Mannheim and Lübeck, the sisters focussed on the duo repertoire. They completed their studies in the subject of piano duo with professors Hans- Peter and Volker Stenzl at the Academy of Music and Theatre in Rostock with concert examinations. In addition, they received important artistic impulses from the Duo Yaara Tal/Andreas Groethuysen and from Katia Labèque, Leonard Hokanson, Konstanze Eickhorst and Alfons Kontarsky.

The Duo achieved national and international awards at the German Music Competition, the Competition of German Music Academies, the Concorso Internazionale di Musica da Camera Palma d`Oro ( Finale Ligure) and the Concorso Internazionale per Duo Pianistico Twenty Fingers (Rome). The Ensemble was accepted in the National Selection of Young Artists’ Concerts of the German Music Council and in the artists’ list of the association Yehudi Menuhin – Live Music Now.

Extensive concert engagements have taken Mona & Rica Bard throughout Europe, to Asia
and the USA, to the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival, the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Usedom Music Festival, the Middle Rhine Music Moments Festival, the Brahms Festival in Lübeck, the NCPA May Festival in Peking and the Chicago Piano Duo Festival. They have performed concerts as soloists with the Rheinland-Pfalz State Philharmonic Orchestra, the Gürzenich Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Mannheim National Theatre, the Kurpfälzisches Chamber Orchestra, the Duisburg Philharmonic and the Heidelberg Philharmonic. Numerous concert, radio and television recordings document the artistic versatility of the Duo.
Their musical partners include the percussionists of the Berlin Philharmonic, the Chinese percussionist Li Biao, KrausFrink Percussion and the jazz pianist and composer Uri Caine.
