​​The Mandelring Quartett begins with the three-part complete recording of Franz Schubert's string quartets, which should turn out to be the start of a decades-long collaboration.

​​Recordings of Karl Böhm with the WDR Symphony Orchestra Cologne are viewed and published in the archives of the Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR), resulting in a new broadcasting cooperation. A four-part Fischer-Dieskau edition from the early 1950s, a Fricsay production and a four-part Geza Anda edition are to follow until the cooperation comes to a halt for the time being the following year.

​​audite is beginning a long-term cooperation with Deutschlandfunk Kultur, from whose archives countless treasures will be unearthed over the next few years. The first of these will be an eleven-part Fricsay edition, which will be released over the course of two years.

​​On the occasion of Herbert von Karajan's 100th birthday, a three-part portrait is published documenting the difficult rebuilding of his career in post-war Germany, including a concert recording of the Salzburg Festival in 1949, his first concert with the Berlin Philharmonic after the war in 1953 and a studio production for the Mozart Year in 1956.

​​With Wilhelm Furtwängler - The Complete RIAS recordings audite releases its most comprehensive edition to date on 13 CDs. It documents the concerts that Wilhelm Furtwängler gave with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra between 1947 and 1954, most of which were recorded by RIAS Berlin. Due to the great demand - especially from the Asian music market - this edition will also be released as a 14-CD LP box set at the end of 2011.

​​With archive material for another Fischer-Dieskau series, audite launches another broadcasting cooperation with Rundfunk Berlin Brandenburg (rbb).

​​For the first time, audite is releasing a historical recording with material from the archive of the Hessischer Rundfunk (HR). The live recording from 1960 of Stravinsky's rarely performed melodrama Persephoné with Fritz Wunderlich is not to remain the only cooperation project with the HR.

​​audite is launching a 5-part series of Grieg's complete symphonic works, for which the Norwegian compatriot Eivind Aadland as well as the WDR Symphony Orchestra Cologne could be won.

​​The 9 CD box set with first releases from the RIAS archive presents the historically first attempt at a complete recording of the Bach cantatas. Karl Ristenpart built up the choral and orchestral work of RIAS Berlin from 1946 and directed the RIAS Chamber Choir and the RIAS Chamber Orchestra. With these ensembles and upcoming young singers such as Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Helmut Krebs and Agnes Giebel, Karl Ristenpart and Elsa Schiller, then head of the RIAS music department, planned a complete recording of all Bach cantatas from 1947. However, the project could not be fully realised. The 29 cantatas still in the RIAS archive today document a Bach ideal that is forward-looking even from today's perspective. Through the interpretation, which frees itself from all monumentality, the later historical performance practice was aesthetically prepared.
